In the past six months, Melanie Hammet has released two CDs. "Crooked Spoke" and "Edifice Complex" explore, in the miniature and expansive way that only the arts allow, themes ranging from our automobile culture to the poetry of our patriotism.
In addition to performing and promoting "Edifice Complex," Melanie toured with author David Magee last fall, reading and performing at bookstores across the South. David's latest book, The Education Of Mr. Mayfield, explores issues that resonate with the subjects on "Crooked Spoke."
